Mission
The objective of this Program in Excellence in Nanotechnology is
to create a platform for the delivery of imaging agents and drugs to
vulnerable atherosclerotic plaques. The Program is organized into
four projects that reflect a discovery pipeline toward translation of
"smart" nano-particles to deliver drugs and imaging agents specifically,
and precisely, to vulnerable atherosclerotic lesions. The four projects
are 1) Targeting Elements, 2) Nanoparticle Design, 3) Biological
Evaluations of Nanoparticles, and 4) Switches and Sensors.
